I just happened upon a picture of my old Rio 500 (aka BriPod) so I have updated the Music Players page in the Shrine section.

Since my recently acquired "Dell Studio Hybrid 140g" works I ended up scouring the internet for a bunch of pictures to throw on a Project page for it...

That dektop's design reminds me of the xbox360. I wonder if it's on purpose.

@bmh I see. You could be right about it being a fault in one of the chips (I would check the RAM first), or it could be something as simple as a bad connection because of rust or other stuff. What happens if you press reset for a bit?

@displayman I have used deoxit and reseated the few socketed chips. Pressing reset just cycles the effect; it was also doing a chequeboard pattern. I have ordered some replacement RAM and sockets; they'll take a while to arrive.

Fun fact: I typed up the page of notes from the 'What Is Good?' book I recently read using my AlphaSmart 3000...
