In older iterations of my website, I'd always receive guestbook comments from other webmasters and neocities users. Nowadays I mostly receive comments from non-website-having-people. Not complaining, but I wonder what changed...?

wahh your minecraft cabin looks so cozy and warm, i want to fall asleep there!!! I'd love to see a page documenting your world as it expands. i find the fun of a project doubles when you journal about it afterwards

Thank you Flonne! If youd ever be interested in picking up modded minecraft I think you might enjoy the Miniaturia mod I'm using. ^^ Ill definitely make a little minecraft page to document the progress of this server!

A diary entry that ends with "I'm so happy..." Somehow, after all those snapshots of joy, it was that line that really warmed my heart. Also I agree w you about Madoka! You can't blame a fantastic show for having uninspiring and potentially "genre ruining" copycats.

I had a really good day! I fell asleep with a smile on my face and I even woke up with some of that residual positivity. And Madoka is amazing! even if its dark it still explores themes and topics that are relevant to the lives of girls, much like other shows in the magical girl genre. shock value copycats are missing the point...

Are people just not attaching their website? Is this happening to everyone? If a majority of my website visitors arent neocities users, where are they coming from?!?!
It's happening to me too! My theory is that people read about Neocities on Twitter, and they either don't sign up or don't do anything w their site so there's no point in linking.
I vouche for that theory, I discovered Neocities from Youtube and Twitter, I spent many days exploring websites here before making one!
a lot of people have learned about neocities from places like twitter and tumblr~ i guess the community has expanded beyond the site itself, and now people from other places are exploring... i myself used to explore sites here without ever having one! (o゜▽゜)o☆
i guess it's the people that aren't users and came from other places, y'know people who explore websites
For me, personally, I just don't attach my website but for the majority of people they're probably from twitter or tumblr
