I'm probably going to become Orthodox, rather than not really having some denomination or anything like that.

It is seeming like the best idea, also btw I'm on Exodus 15 now so yay :D

I'm considering making a (private) FTP server for frens + family, though I'll have to see how to do something like that. Basically though, if I can do it properly, I'll have a way to save a lot of money on cloud storage AND everyone would have more storage. 20TB drives for everything, RAID5 setup. Since I can do username+password stuff, I'll have that setup there too in order to keep the system harder to access.

Would I store my own files on it, especially without GPG encryption? HELL no. Would it (overtime) save family + friends money? Absolutely. It would last at least a few years, however if normies knew a thing called compression, it would last decades with little effort. Keep in mind, family is rather large + I'd allow family of frens, frens of frens, and a few other people so it could have a few hundred people total

I'll have to sort the system out, and make it accessible to even tech-illiterates, but hey an alternative to Google Drive or iCloud would be AMAZING for everyone. I would do something like this for the Venith service too, but I know well it is hell to do something like that and essentially impossible as of this time unless if that too were private.

Family + Frens with Android phones (or who actually know how to use a computer) can just use FileZilla, but everyone else I'd have to make it accessible to use. 20TB sounds overkill, but remember that many people have hundreds of gigabytes of data on their current storage-providers. And then I'm saying many would be using it often, meaning not only would I need large-sizes, I'd need my own backups occasionally

628.1MiB for an Orthodox Study Bible you can't even copy/paste text from is obviously insane, so I'm thinking of making a usable PDF of the entire Bible which I will then share the file via my website for those who need it.

Pure-text is a lot smaller than screenshots of images, meaning this would help majorly even if you were able to copy/paste the text on this PDF, which you can't. I'm also going to try to see if I can make a properly working table of contents so that way you can easily find a chapter of the Bible, then you just have to find the verse from there.

I'm just going to write the text word-for-word what's on the Orthodox Bible. I would translate it from the original source myself, but I don't know any of the 3 languages which the books were written in so I'll just have to work off this. Should still be essentially accurate tho so thats good

If I do ever learn the 3 languages which every book of the Bible were written in, I will make a version with the original on one side and the English translation on another though. It would be a major help to have something like this, since I can't think of anywhere else where you can *accurately* confirm anything. I'd have to first obtain copies of the untranslated Old and New Testament + the Apocrypha books.

I'm ok with them being in another language if it's something like French, Latin, German, Greek, etc. Japanese is fine too. I can't read most of it, but it won't be long until I can somewhat read it. so yea me need gud book to read

Since apparently I can use git to update Neocities, I will probably try to make it so that way I can update both the Codeberg and Neocities version of the website at once. This'll make mass-updates a tiny bit easier, albeit still difficult merely due to the amount of works here.

I've decided on something for Venith's archive section: will change it to sort folders by file-type -> year -> file-name_author-name.type

This is going to be done in order to make it more logical and easier to sort everything. PDFs, MP4s, etc. This'll make Venith's website even more legendary than before, and it will still load realistically (the most notable entries will be listed on /archive/index.html, otherwise you'd need to go to, lets say, /archive/pdf/index.html for the full list)

This will break some REALLY OLD archive links, but it'll allow more advanced sorting of everything, so I am willing to do this. Archives will be random, but it is all public-domain files/other files that are fair game under Fair Use in the United States. Some files will be controversial, but will remain as accessible as possible for free-speech reasons.

With the idea I currently have, I might apply something a little similar to the articles + blog pages. Articles would have it to sort by tags and blogs would have it to sort by year. I'll have to think on it. Once I finish this, it'll be the first Venith blogpost in a long while as it is a *major* update.

Perhaps instead of tags, I might do categories btw. Since I can't do anything automatically due to the fact I refuse JS and there is no ability to use PHP as of now, category would work out better since it would mean duplicates would not exist. As usual, anyone will be allowed to submit something, but it will be in a category instead of specific tags. Instead of "tech" and "linux" tags, you'd just have "Technology".

Reduces options *i guess*, but you can't even search by tags or anything like that, so it doesn't do anything. A category and a well-made title would be far better of an idea for Venith than the alternative considering this. If or when Venith gets an actual backend, I'll gladly make it use tags + categories, but otherwise it's just worse overall.
